The Tournament Bowling Club of Jacksonville (TBCJ), Incorporated, is a nonprofit organization founded on December 12, 1981, by the late Ms. Vinnie M. Jackson. The organization was initially established under the name “The Wrecking Crew”, with founding members Vinnie Jackson, Geraldine Grant, Arva Butler, and Thelma Felder. As the club grew, additional teams were formed, including The CJs, Captain and Crew, and The Top Five.
On April 10, 1982, the organization was officially renamed the Tournament Bowling Club of Jacksonville (TBCJ) and expanded to 20 members, marking the beginning of its legacy as a competitive, community-focused bowling organization.
TBCJ is composed of dedicated bowlers who compete in City, State, and National tournaments, proudly representing the Jacksonville community with integrity, sportsmanship, and a high standard of skill.
Beyond competition, TBCJ is deeply committed to community service. Over the years, the Club has provided Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets and gift cards to families in need, supported military members on deployment and wounded warriors, and awarded scholarships to Jacksonville high school graduates pursuing higher education.
