TOURNAMENT CLUB OF JACKSONVILLE, INC.
The Tournament Bowling Club of Jacksonville, Incorporated, a non-profit organization, was founded on December 12, 1981, by the late Ms. Vinnie M. Jackson. The organization was originally known as the “Wrecking Crew”. Members included: Vinnie Jackson, Geraldine Grant, Arva Butler, and Thelma Felder. The following teams were added: The CJs, Captain and Crew, and the Top Five. On April 10, 1982, the club was officially named Tournament Bowling Club of Jacksonville “TBCJ” and consisted of 20 members.
TBCJ is a group of individuals dedicated to bowling. The club participates in City, State, and National tournaments, representing Jacksonville with high standards and skills in the game.
Through the years, TBCJ has provided meals through Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets as well as gift cards to families in need, our military on deployment, and wounded warriors annually. In addition, we provide scholarships for Jacksonville high school graduates entering college.
